This is the last of our poems for the summer. School starts again at Appleby on 7 February and we will start podcasting again as a fresh group of students learn the art of podcasting. This poem is written by Dianna Noonan, a well known NZ poet. The poem mentions a pukeko feather. Pukeko are a beautiful native bird of New Zealand with feathers the colour of paua. The poem was cleverly presented by Gloria, Emily, Georgia, Ruby. 500 KB 51 seconds |
About AllanahI am the teacher of a group of very clever and growingly articulate group of Year Four and Five children in Nelson, New Zealand. We are learning new ways of communicating and are enjoying learning how to podcast. In Term Three of 2006 we all had a turn at podcasting and in the last term of the year we learnt how to make our podcasts more independently. Please give us some feedback about our podcasts. To do that please leave a comment, become a fan or join our mailing list just below this text box. Fans of this Show
